All subscriptions will be frozen again, subscription holders will get an email asap (16 December at the latest). Are you a subscription holder but didn’t you get an email? Please check your spambox!

Over the next days we’ll brainstorm with our team about the possibilities for buying your Christmas gifts / training materials (Beastmaker 1000, chalkbags etc) and collecting your resoled climbing shoes. Please keep an eye on our social media channels (Instagram and FaceBook) for updates on this.

Speaking of social media….we’d love you to share your photo and/or film of the way you’re staying in shape during lockdown. Please tag us on Instagram and inspire others during this lockdown.

We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Stay safe, stay healthy, stay sane!

Dutch Law on face masks is effective per 1 December

Do you need to wear that face mask during your whole visit to our gym? No, you don’t.

You’ll be entering the gym wearing your mask, desinfect your hands followed by the checking-in part. That’s all just like the past months. Changing rooms are still closed but you’ve come prepared and are already wearing your sports outfit. After changing into your climbing shoes you’ re ready for exercising and that’s the moment you can take your face mask off.

During exercising (= warming up, reading your boulder, bouldering, brushing, power exercises, yoga, stretching and/or cooling down) you don’t need to wear your face mask.
However, if you need to use the toilet or assistance from our staff at the bar (band aid, chalk etc) you’ll have to put your face mask back on.
Once your finished exercising and have changed into your outdoor shoes you put your face mask back on and report at the bar in order to check out. As of now our staff at the bar will see you only with your face mask on.

It’s a Dutch national law. We’re not allowed to let you in without a face mask, which is a sad for us as it is for you. So please bring your face mask with you!

We have limited stock of our Delfts Bleau face masks (€5 if you have a subscription,  €7,50 if you don’t have a subscription).

It’s an exciting moment, each and every Covid-19 press conference!

Due to the latest COVID-19 restrictions we’re no longer allowed to organise classes for persons of 18yrs and older. Bleau Yoga, Bleau Technique and the introduction lessons have been cancelled. All participants have been informed accordingly. Hosting clinics isn’t possible either, as are bookings for groups existing of more than 2 persons.

Groups of more than 2 persons are not allowed. Since last week you can book a timeslot for yourself in Toplogger and just one person extra. This means we don’t have to cancel bookings for over 2 persons, yeah!

So, besides the new group regulations nothing else changes for now. You make your booking via Toplogger. In between 2 bookings are 2 days and you can make the next booking once your current time slot is over. Can you make it during daytime on weekdays? others who cannot would be very happy if you do so instead of choosing for the evening.

As of Monday 9 November there are 4 timeslots per evening exclusively reserved for subscription holders. You’re considered a subscription holder if you have a valid 1 month subscription, a 3 months subscription, a one year subscription, a continous subscription or a 10x times card. You’ll have to present your card upon entry and bookers without a valid card will unfortunately be send out.
Does this mean subscription holders cannot bring along someone without a subscription? No it doesn’t. In that case you book a timeslot that’s open for everyone.

Stay healthy, stay safe!

New: exclusive timeslots for subscription holders

As of Sunday 8 November the gym is opened on Sunday evening exclusively for subscription holders. You’ll recognise these timeslots in Toplogger with the title  ***TIMESLOT VOOR ABONNEMENTHOUDERS***, that’s easy right?

As of Monday 9 november the timeslots in the evening of 19h, 20h, 21h and 22h are also to be booked by subscription holders only. Do you have a subscription and do you want to bring along a friend without a subscription? Please book a timeslot in the afternoon or one at 19.30h, 20.30h or 21.30h.
Don’t you have a subscription but yet you decide to make a booking at 19h, 20h, 21h or 22h? In that case we cannot allow you in, despite the booking. The timeslots are marked as clearly as possible, so please check the timeslots before just booking one.

You’re considered a subscription holder if you have:
a. a subscription for 1 month, 3 months or 1 year;
b. a continous subscription;
c. a 10x-card.
Subscription holders in category a + b have been informed by mail on 1 November.

Coffee? Coffee! and extra timeslots

The Veiligheidsregio Haaglanden has informed us today that we can hand out to/go products again. As of now you can order a good coffee to go upon leaving and enjoy this outside. Or a fresh mint tea. Or an icecream. We’re happy with that!

As you might have noticed in Toplogger we’ll open the doors at 12h as of next week. And about a week ago we’ve added 2 extra timeslots: 21.30-23h and 22-23.30h. That’s an extra 2 hours of bouldertime which helps a tiny bit in all this reductions in numbers.

Perhaps you’ve watched the Press Conference. Dutch Government wants to discourage all forms of “gezelligheid” and forming of groups as much as possible. For sports this means groups cannot be over 4 persons, still taking 1.5m into account. As there are less people in the gym now it’s getting harder to meet up with your regular boulder buddies. Perhaps you’re free to boulder in the afternoons but you don’t book a timeslot in the afternoon because you used to boulder in the evening with your buddies who cannot make in the afternoon. Please consider booking that timeslot in the afternoon now, others will be very happy with a free slot in the evening.

We understand you hope to stay a bit longer than the duration of your timeslot. We’d love that too but in these circumstances we have to deny those requests, no matter which timeslot you’ve booked. The 1.5h timeslot includes warming up, strength training, stretching, changing shoes etc. We certainly understand the emptiness of the gym gives you the feeling it should be possible to stay longer. 3op in 1.320m2 is not much, but 30p is the max we’re allowed to have in. Please help us and arrive on time, leave on time.

Latest COVID-19 restrictions

Despite the fact that the situation is marked “very serious” on the routekaart of Rijksoverheid we are still open which makes us very happy! You can still boulder, but just a bit shorter than you’re used to.

Reducing the max. number of people in the gym from 72 to 30 persons has quite an impact. Most of the timeslots for the next couple of days are fully booked. We have searched and puzzled over a way to rebook timeslots in a way everyone will be happy with but haven’t found one unfortunately. There are bookings for the current timeslots of 1.5h, 2h and 3h. How can we decide who gets to book the new timeslots of 1.5h as the dates of these bookings don’t differ that much.

Therefore we had to decide do cancel all the timeslots that conflict with the max number of people. In the previous press conference the date of 16 October was marked being the date of reviewing the previous new restrictions. We had therefore decided to make timeslots available just until 18 October. Luckily this means we don’t have to disappoint too many people now, but believe us…we don’t like to disappoint anyone at all.

So, what’s new? As of Thursday 15 October all timeslots are reduced to 1.5h. Please don’t ask the barteam if you can stay a bit longer, you can’t. It’s really 1.5h max. In between 2 bookings there will temporarily be 2 days and you can now book for just 2 persons (being yourself + 1). The latest restrictions will at least last until 27 October so we’ll make new timeslots available until that date as soon as all current timeslots have been changed and rebooked.

Changing rooms and shower areas have been closed again. After changing shoes and washing your hands you turn to the bar to check-out. Please do so asap after your 1.5h sessions has ended otherwise we have to ask people for the next timeslots to wait outside (while their timeslots start anyway). We’re in this together.

We’re working hard to get everything up in Toplogger again. As you might understand, so do all the other boulder and climbing gyms. The system is trying to cope with this heavy work load and things are not running as smooth and quickly as we hoped for. Thank you for your patience!

You know the drill by now: keep your 1.5m distance, wash your hands, don’t go hugging about and stay safe and healthy. Should you like to wear a mouth & nose mask in the gym, please feel free to do so.

Bleau Yoga

You’re already used to using Toplogger for your bouldering session, as well as the physiotherapist (Monday evening), Sportmassage (Tuesday evening), APS-therapy (Wednesday evening). As of Sa 17 October you can book your Bleau Yoga session via Toplogger as well.

Each Bleau Yoga training has another thema. You find this theme in the Toplogger timeslot. Please note you have to bring your own yoga mat! The desinfection spray damages the mats which is why you currently cannot use our mats for stretching after your bouldering session. However, we can provide the required yoga blocks.

If you have a cold or any other symptom related to COVID-19 please stay home and cancel your booking. Thank you.

extra restrictions re. covid19

So, what’s new?
The terrace is empty and the bar is closed. That little pause with fresh coffee and homemade apple pie on Sunday morning is not possible for the moment. Ending your bouldering session with a well-deserved cold beer neither. At the end of your timeslot you collect your stuff, report your departure at the bar and you go home.

Public is not allowed. Whether you like to watch the performance of your child during our training or like to work on your laptop or want to wander around to see what bouldering is all about….sorry, can’t do. As of now the gym can only be entered by boulderers with a reservation.

This isn’t the happiest time but those 3 weeks will over before you know it. If we all stick to the rules we can beat covid-19 together!

What’s not new?
* you need to book a timeslot via Toplogger
* you don’t come to our gym if you have health issues or recently have been in contact with a person that tested positive on covid19
* you stick to the rules re. the 1.5m distance, the floormarkings, the use of magnesium etc.
* you cannot be close to someone else unless that someone is family or part of your household. Please bare in mind that a student household is not a household re. to the “noodverordening”!
* change into your sport clothes before coming over to the gym. If that’s not an option due to work f.e. you can use the changing room (max 3p at the same time) but please don’t leave your stuff in the changing room
* bring your water bottle, your chalkbag (if you don’t have one you can still rent one) and a yoga mat should you like to do some stretching/exercises

You find this information in Toplogger as well. In between to bookings there should be at least one day. Please respect this so everyone has a chance of booking a timeslot. Thanks!

We’ll make some adjustment in Toplogger for the timeslots in the evening. By changing some of the timeslots a bit we can make more people happy with a timeslot. By adding some briefer sessions and shortening the 3h timeslot we can make this work. It’s a bit of a puzzle that requires extra attention to avoid creating a timeslot with an overbooking of the max number of persons in the gym. The new timeslots will be made available asap.

COVID-19 update

Booking your timeslot on beforehand remains mandatory. You can easily do so via Toplogger. Timeslots are still 2 hours, that way everyone gets a chance to book regurarly. Drinking a beer afterwards is often possible, but please check with our bar team.
The seating area has been reorganised due to covid-19. Please respect the setting and the markings on the floor. Just want to drink something while your partner/familymember boulders? Put your name on the horeca list and check out upon departure.

The U-shaped part at the lefthandside of the seating area intends to be a busy spot. Since over a week there’s a maximum of 10 persons in that area. There’s a bright yellow sign on the floor to mark that area, please do a headcount before you enter the area. Please follow the walking route when entering the area.

The number of persons per timeslot has been slightly reduced. We starten with 60p max per 1 July and increased this number over August to 80 to enable more customers to restart bouldering again. Although we can host even more persons based on the total surface, we all experience that the in between number of 72 persons max feels more comfortable, safer. This is why we go back to 72p max as of this weekend.

As of now you can book for yourself + just 2 others. For those you don’t like to be in the gym during youth trainings: all trainings are in Toplogger now. Same goes for children parties and adult trainings. It goes without saying you cannot use these timeslots for booking your own session. If there are cancellations for a training, we’ll enlarge the other timeslot at that hour for your benefit.

Soon you’ll notice small timeslots for newbees in Toplogger. This way we can reduce queuing at the entrance and everyone benefits from that. As soon as the max. 4 newbees have changed shoes they get the instruction talk about the basics of bouldering and the safety regulations. Do you want to introduce a friend to bouldering? Please book yourself a timeslot nest to the newbee timeslot and we’ll include your friend in the instruction talk.

Last but not least we kindly ask your attention for the following: in the weekends the vibe and the dynamics in the gym differ from weekdays/evenings. More people order drinks from the bar, there are more families, more newbees, more movement on and around the seating area en our staff needs to do extra rounds to remind customers about either the covid19 regulations or the safety rules.
Should you like to fit new climbing shoes, please do so on a weekday (any timeslot until 19h will be fine). There’s more time and space then which enables us to give you the attention that shoe fitting requires. In the weekend we cannot provide that attention without getting queues for the bar which makes it hard for everyone to remain the 1.5m. Can you only make it in the weekend? If you arrive around 16h/16.30h around the last timeslot of the day we can help you out.

All of this might be not 100% convenient for you but we do have to make some adjustments to ensure we all can live up to the covid-19 regulations. Together we can keep it safe, but only together.
