End of lockdown 3

We’re over the moon we can host you again!

You still need to make a reservation on beforehand and will need to wear a facemask upon entry up and until the moment you’re ready for bouldering.
If you’re 18yrs or over you need to show your CoronaToegangsBewijs (CTB) + ID-card.
Horeca is closed but you can order a coffee to go just before your bouldering session and drink it outside on the bench.

We’ve given our sponsors a bit of a head start for booking the most popular timeslots. And you all benefit from extra opening hours: we open up at 11h on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Saturdays and Sundays will give more options to early birds as we’ll open at 9h.

The developer of the Kabeldistrict area is putting quite some effort in making the area greener, something we’re very happy with. However, this has consequences for you as the parking lot has partly been transformed in a park during lockdown 3 without putting up signs in order for you to find the alternative new parking. So, if you get to us by car make sure you take the entry on your right hand side. You enter the premisses between the Praxis and the big sign “KABELDISTRICT” and drive straight to the gate towards the big new parking. After parking you walk the way you used to drive by car towards our entrance. The new parking is quite bigger, so that’s good news.

Lockdown 3

Unfortunately the Netherlands will enter lockdown 3 starting Sunday 19 December 2021, so we have to close our doors again. Everyone who made a reservation through TopLogger for the next days received a cancellation message. All memberships will be put on hold for the duration of the lockdown. We need a couple of days to come to terms with this bad news. All subscription holders will receive an email next week.

Stay healthy and safe and we wish you merry Christmas and a better New Year.

Up and until 14 January 2022 we will have to close our doors at 17h but the good thing is we get to keep the doors open right? To avoid long queues at the check-out we kindly but urgently ask you to keep an eye on the clock in order to check out at the time due.

Update Covid-19 restrictions per 28 november

Not all details are fully known yet, but we do know we, just as all other indoor sports locations, have to close our doors everyday at 17:00h. At this moment in time it’s not yet clear whether or not the number of visitors will be limited again. If the 1.5m distance rule has to be re-applied we will have to adjust some of the timeslots. Unfortunately the Government hasn’t yet updated all the protocols, so there’s a conflict in interpretation now.

The good news remains that indoor sports are still open and you don’t have to give up on bouldering like you had to in previous lockdowns. Starting Monday 29 November we, to compensatie the lost hours a it, will temporarily open at 8:00 on weekdays and 9:00 in the week-ends.  As our gym is thoroughly cleaned every morning in the early hours, we cannot open earlier than 8:00. Our cleaning team has obligations elsewhere in the evening hours and can therefore not switch. So, the cleaning team still starts at 5:30 and leaves about 7:45. We open just a bit after that.

We sure hope these restrictions will have the desired effect and can be lifted a bit next month.

Because of this, the db9 we had planned on 10 December will be cancelled. All consumptions must still be consumed whilst you’re seated at the terrace according to the restrictions. We all can live with that can’t we?

So, small reminder what all the restrictions involve for you now: Booking via Toplogger is still mandatory, so is showing your QR and valid ID. And there’s also the restriction  of wearing a facemask upon entry and when leaving the gym.

When new information comes available, we will update this page accordingly.

Update covid19-restrictions and save the date: db9

As of 13 November all horeca in the Netherlands is closed as of 20h. Make sure you order your pizza on time! You can do so upon entry by placing your order incl. the moment you like to have your pizza served (before 20h). We make sure your pizza is served at the agreed timeslot. All consumptions must be consumed whilst you’re seated at the terrace according to the new restrictions. We all can live with that can’t we?

The good news still is that indoor sports are still open and you don’t have to give up on bouldering like you had to in previous lockdowns. We sure hope these restrictions can be lifted a bit next month. We have a db9 scheduled for you on Friday 10 December and are looking forward to the next press conference of Friday 3 December. Put the db9 in your schedule and we’ll publish asap after the next press conference what the competition details will be. Chances are we (still) cannot have public/supporters in.

So, small reminder what all the restrictions involve for you now: Booking via Toplogger is still mandatory, and so is showing your QR and valid ID.

CoronaToegangsBewijs and Bleau Yoga

In the press conference of 2 November it has been announced that a CoronaToegangsBewijs (CTB) is mandatory to gain access to all indoor sport facilities per Sa 6 November. As of that moment this applies to all climbing-and bouldergyms in the Netherlands. Everyone age 18 and older has to show either a QR-code, a proof of Covid-19 recovery or a proof of negative covid-19 test (max 24h old). Wearing a facemask is not mandatory.

In the days prior to the press conference the Branchevereniging KlimSport has done everything possible – together with various sport federations – to avoid the closing down of indoor sport facilities. We are very happy they have succeeded and we do hope you’re happy too!
It’s still quite busy during the evenings, we’re fully booked most evenings. This is why we stick to bookings via Toplogger as it’s the only way to regulate the crowd. For timeslots Monday to Thursday 12-16h it’s not mandatory to make a booking, but it’s highly appreciated by those who’d like to avoid a crowd. This is why your booking (Mo-Th 12-16h) does not effect the max. of 3 bookings one is allowed to make.

And speaking of being happy…we’re happy to announce that Bleau Yoga restarts per Sa 4 December. We start with a small group of max 4. persons and if space and interest match we hope to extend to 6 persons. You can book your yoga session via Toplogger.

Bookings per 27 September and Coronavirus Entry Pass

Today, 23 September, the new protocol for sportvenues has been released. Unfortunately these are not available in English, but there is some information for you available.

The good news is you don’t need a Coronavirus Entry Pass (CEP) for practising sports. Obviously you don’t come to our gym when you have a cold or other covid-19 related symptoms. If you visit us in the weekend or on weekdays after 16h you will still need to book a timeslot via Toplogger. For timeslots on weekdays before 16h you don’t have to book a timeslot although it’s highly appreciated if you still do so. By booking a timeslot you give persons with a certain risk on Covid-19 the opportunity to choose a quiet moment.

This past week we have extended the timeslots to 100p in the gym at the same time. As of 25 September there will be approx. 120p in at the same time and if the situation remains comfortable and safe for everyone we will extend the timeslots a bit more. However, this past week quite some customers expressed they really need time to adjust to having a bit of a crowd in. We value your experience and hope you keep us informed by any discomfort or feelings of unsafety.

The new protocol states that for making use of horeca facilities a CEP + ID are required. If you order a coffee to go or a bottle of water to drink in between your boulders, you don’t need to show your CEP + ID. If you order a beverage before or after your boulder session to drink at our terrace, you do need to show your CEP + ID. Youngster up to 13 yrs of age don’t need to show an ID for ordering their consumption. The terrace will be re-organised a bit in order to meet these new regulations. It all needs some adjusting, not just for you but for our barteam as well.

As we still need to be able to provide the GGD (Health Services) with contact details of boulderers in case of a positive test by another boulderer, Toplogger helps us to do so. You also benefit if you’re informed as quickly as possible if you might have been in contact with someone who has just tested positive on covid-19.

db9! 24 – 26 September

The db9 starts Friday evening 24 November at 19h. You simply book a timeslot in Toplogger “exclusief voor db9 deelnemers” and will be handed a scoreform and pen upon arrival. There will be 20 boulders this time, instead of the regular 14. Per boulder you have 9 attempts, like you’re used to, but the boulders will be spread over the gym in order to avoid uncomfortable crowdy situations.

Can’t you make it on Friday evening? No worries, there are also db9 competition slots on Saturday afternoon, Sunday morning and Sunday afternoon.
Not interested in the comp, just in a good bouldering session? There are also timeslots available for non-competitors.

This will be the first db9 set with boulders which grades are easy to reckognise. The color of the boulder corresponds with the color of our circuit. You’ll have 2 pink boulders (level 4/4+), 2 mint (level 5), 2 orange (5+) etc. up to purple (7b). There are also 5 mystery white boulders, level unknown until you try. Per competition timeslot you have 2.5hrs for topping all the boulders. At the end of your timeslot you hand in your card and we’ll communicate who the winners are Sunday evening.

Saturday morning 25 September is exclusively reserved for Youth BCDE. As of 14h you can book your (non) competition slots. Youth A and Juniors can choose any competition timeslot they like, except for the Saturday morning slots.

There’s no extra fee for the competition, you just pay the regular entrance fee!

During the press conference of 14 September it has been announced that the 1.5m distance rule will be lifted per 25 September. However, to avoid a crowd because of the competition booking via Toplogger is still required both the 25th and 26th. We hope to end the Toplogger bookings asap but at this moment in time there’s no new Sport Protocol available yet. For now the horeca rules seem to be applicable to sportsfacilities meaning you’ll need to show your QR-code or negative test if you want to order a drink. As you don’t need a QR-code for entering the gym this is quite a weird situation.
Negociations with the Ministery VWS is ongoing and we hope a workable solution will be presented asap. Please don’t let that keep you from booking your Toplogger db competition timeslot! The competition timeslots are unrestricted.

Bleau Technique, kids birthdayparties and db9

In the anniversary weekend of 24 up and until 26 September we’ll organise a db9 in a bit different way. The competition will last during the whole weekend, but the competition boulders are exclusively reserved for Youth CDE on Saturday morning. There will be more competition boulders than you’re used to but the 9 attempts stay.

In the press conference of 14 September the new covid-19 regulations will be announced. Rumour has it that the 1.5m distance rule will be lifted per 25 September. It’s not yet clear if testing for entry will be applicable to indoor sports (competitions). So, we’ll have to wait a bit with dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s regarding the db9. Keep an eye on our website and/or our social media channels.

We’re fully booked for kids birthdayparties for the rest of 2021. The first one you can book will be in January 2022.

The training Bleau Technique has started again, which is ever so nice after such a long period! All trainings that had to be cancelled due to the lockdown will be rescheduled. All subscribers have had an email, we’re waiting the replies to set the dates. The next months we’ll host the Bleau Technique trainings not only on Mondays and Thursdays but also on Tuesdays. This way we hope to get everyone of the waiting list a spot asap. Are you interested in taking this training? Please fill out the form and you might be able to join in November!
