The first edition of the db9 was very succesful, a lot of people, nice boulders, good music and good fun. The first edition is won by Melle Vroom. Melle earned 159 out of  the 168 points to be earned. A well deserved victory, well done Melle! You can check the total scores below.

Klimmuur Den Haag and Klimmuur Rotterdam have generously lent us a couple of modules which we used for the DB9 competition boulders. Thanks guys!

The calendar of the national competetion will be published by the NKBV any day now. We shall add the planning of the DB9 competition and publish the calendar on this site. The DB9 is organised 4 times per year and the next competitions will be scheduled for February, May and Augstus/September. We’re going to have a nice competition year!

In a fortnight it’s Christmas. We’re closed on 24, 25 and 26 December as well as on 31 December and the first of January.

Last but not least: we’re hiring again! As one of the requirements is being fluent in Dutch, we haven’t made the vacancies text available in English, the dutch text can be found here. We trust you to understand this.

The kids lessons are in dutch, therefore there’s no translated page.

DB9 is the local competition of Bouldercentrum Delfts Bleau! A free competition with 14 brand new boulders, for which you have 9 attempts to them each of them. Fixating the zone hold results in extra points. You fill out your score form yourself and hand the score form in after your 9th boulder. The first competition date is scheduled for Friday evening 29 November, more info can be found here.

We had a great anniversary, thank you for all your wishes. And now it’s back to business!
As of Friday 4 October we restart with the introduction lessons. Every first Friday of the month at 19:30 we’ll have these lessons which costs you just the entrance fee, unless you don’t bring clean indoor sportshoes and therefor have to pay for the rental shoes. More info: here.

A brief summary in English, our apologies!
It’s unbelievable….a year has passed since Vera Zijlstra and Michiel Nieuwenhuijsen opened our center. It has been a busy year, but what a year it was!

We celebrate our first anniversary this Saturday (21 September). You cannot only enjoy a good bouldering session but also join a free demo of GoodClimbing (13.30-14.30h) and a presentation of JK Fysio on preventing climbing injuries (13.00-13.30h) or consult him on that specific muscle problem your experiencing.

Maaike, Voedingscoach Delft, knows everything you need to know about the right nutrition to support both your training schedule and your recovery. She’ll be around all afternoon to answer your questions or to make an appointment for a personal advice.

The trainingswall and the opposite wall will be closed for public. This area will be used by GoodClimbing, JK Fysio and the yoga clinic. Yoga? Yes! We’re honoured to host a clinic by Robert Boustany, the founder of Pralaya Yoga. Robert is a climber himself and has been teaching yoga for decades…well…at least for the past 40 years. Experience what yoga can do for you and your Climbing skills. As it’s our anniversary the clinic will only cost you €10! Please sign up via info@delftsbleau.nl as the number of attendees is limited to 15. The clinic starts at 16.00h and ends at 17.30h. A cup of tea at the wrap-up is included.

Are your muscles still aching because of your bouldering session on Friday night (Klimmen met DJ I.VO.D en DJ Raat)? Sportmasseur Rex Schomaker (12.00-14.00h) has the solution!

We’re looking forward seeing you this Saturday. And…in case you decide to buy a 10-times-card on Saturday we won’t punchmark your card with Saturday’s session. It’s our anniversay!

Per 11 September we start with the training for kids. As these trainings are in Dutch we refer to the post in Dutch.

In case you missed it: On 31 August and 1 September the NKBV and  IFSC organise the European Championship Boulder in Eindhoven. More information about this great event and the program can be found on the EC Boulder website, you can also buy your tickets there.

The qualifications will be held on Saturday 31 August. The semi-finals are on Sunday 1 September in the afternoon and the finals start at 18:00. We don’t want to miss this, so we open and close a bit earlier on Sunday. We open at 11:00 and close at 15:30 on Sunday.  Saturday we have normal hours (12:00 – 18:00).

Nieuwe ingang tijdens lustrum

The students from Virgiel have been working for weeks on the prepartions for the Lustrumparties (five-yearly anniversary). Via daily meetings with the various project leaders we try to limit the nuisance to a minimum, not always that succesful. Some of you found the entrance door to the Schiehal closed or had to park at the Praxis. During yesterday evening’s soundchecks we had stuff tumbling down of the shelves in our storeroom. Anxiously we’re looking forward to the next 2 weeks partytime and keep doing our utmost to limit the nuisance.

Virgiels Lustrumparty starts tonight at 10. The regular entrance to the Schiehal is now closed, please use the entrance on the left. Virgiel has put up signs to guide you. Be careful, this route is also used by all the other traffic including cars. The party areas are only accessible with a valid ticket, so please try not to be too curious or to party crush.

Depending on the nuisance we’ll decide tomorrow whether or not we’ll have to close earlier the next couple of days (@22h instead of 22.30h). Please don’t forget that we’re closed tomorrow (Ascension). Furthermore it’s business as usual and will we be changing the red circuit this friday.
