The first performer is Tim Vervenne, at 19h and again at 21h, with the performance “Junkyard”. Each performance is 30 min.
Junkyard is a tragicomic dance performance about addiction and breaking free from habits that have embedded themselves deep within us. We follow a character stuck in his destructive routines. When he decides to quit everything, he finds himself trapped in a restless no-man’s-land where endless desire keeps buzzing. From airy smoking gestures to angular coke mania, from mechanical NPC movements to derailed OCD patterns: Junkyard shows what it feels like to escape a life lived from kick to kick. A physical journey through the restlessness one must cross to reach the silence.
More info about Tim can be found on the website of Fringe Festival. Tickets are to be booked via Fringe Festival.
The second performer is The Falling Club, at 20h and again at 22h, with the performance “Rogers, just Just Rogers”. Each performance is 30 min.
Rogers, just Just Rogers is a piece about a quiet existence in a fast-paced world. Just Rogers is a person with little ambition. Although the outside world may push or pull them in unexpected directions, Rogers remains in place with no concern about missed opportunities for greatness. Is this a resignation to the demands of capitalist society, or a tiny rebellion against it?
The piece combines contemporary dance and circus, with a focus on partner work and acrobatic elements that play with risk-taking and trust.
More info about The Falling Club, as well as the link to the tickets, can be found on the website of Fringe Festival.
The gym shall be open as usual, that is until 18h. There will be time afterwards for your stretching routine, or that well deserved drink afterwards. We’ll close the doors at 18.30h in order to get the last preparations done.
